BackerLens uses an empirical Kickstarter funding curve: ~30% of final pledged comes in days 1-3, ~70% by 85% of duration, then a final-week push to 100%. We divide current pledged by where the curve says we should be at this point in the campaign.
Late-campaign forecast — most of the curve is already known, prediction is much more reliable.
This is an experimental model. Don’t bet sourcing decisions on a single number — the funding curve cross-section is just a heuristic.
