User Agreement

Introduction

This User Agreement (the "Agreement") is between you and the BackerLens team ("we", "us", "our") and governs your use of the BackerLens platform, including the website, any future mobile apps, and the API.

By creating an account or using any BackerLens feature, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement. You must be at least 18 years old to use the service.

Account Registration

When registering, you must provide truthful, accurate, and complete information, and update it promptly when it changes. Each person may register only one account (Team plan seats excepted).

• ›You are responsible for all activity under your account
• ›Keep your credentials (password, verification codes) confidential — do not share or transfer them
• ›Contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access
• ›Accounts created with false information may be suspended or terminated

Your Rights

While your account is active, you have the right to:

• ›Access and use BackerLens features included in your plan
• ›View and export your saved favorites and account history
• ›Update your account information and preferences at any time
• ›Request a copy of your personal data
• ›Request correction or deletion of your personal information

Your Responsibilities

By using BackerLens, you agree to:

• ›Use platform data only for lawful product sourcing and market research
• ›Not use automated tools to bulk-scrape or republish BackerLens data
• ›Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or attack the BackerLens system
• ›Not distribute illegal, harmful, or rights-infringing content via the platform
• ›Comply with the terms of upstream platforms (Kickstarter, Indiegogo, etc.)
• ›Not use BackerLens data for any fraudulent commercial activity

Data Disclaimer

BackerLens aggregates publicly available crowdfunding data, processes it, and surfaces it through scoring and analytics. You understand and agree that:

• ›Platform data is for reference only and does not constitute investment advice
• ›The Lens Score is an algorithmic composite and is not guaranteed accurate
• ›Market data may lag the source platform by up to 4 hours
• ›Sourcing or business decisions made using BackerLens data are made at your own risk

User Content

Content you create on the platform (favorites, notes, custom tags, etc.) belongs to you. You grant us a limited license to store and process this content as needed to provide the service.

You warrant that any content you submit does not infringe any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights. You are solely responsible for any third-party claims arising from your content.

Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from account settings. We will remove your personal data within 30 days of deletion, except where retention is legally required.

We may suspend or terminate your account without prior notice if:

• ›You violate this Agreement or the Terms of Service
• ›Your account shows fraud, abuse, or security risk
• ›Your free account is inactive for 12+ months (we will notify by email 30 days in advance)
• ›Required by law or government order

Disclaimer

BackerLens is provided "as is" without any express or implied warranties, including but not limited to accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use or inability to use the service.

Changes to this Agreement

For material changes, we will notify you by email at least 15 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that date constitutes acceptance. The latest version is always available on this page.
